Navin Dahal
DRRM and Climate Resilience Expert
Navin Dahal is a Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) and Climate Resilience expert with 17+ years of experience in policy advocacy, humanitarian response, and disaster risk reduction and management. He has worked with organizations like NAST, IOM Nepal, and ADRA Nepal, leading DRRM policy development, Project development, and capacity-building for local governments. His expertise in DRR governance, shock-responsive social protection, Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI), Multi-hazard early warning, and climate change adaptation aligns with CDMS’s mission to enhance disaster preparedness and resilience in Nepal.

Prof. Dr. Udhab Raj Khadka
Advisor
Dr. Udhab Raj Khadka is a faculty at the Central Department of Environmental Science, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Dr. Khadka holds Master’s Degree in Botany from the Tribhuvan University and Master’s Degree in Desert Science from the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel. He received Ph.D. from School of Environmental Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. He has published several research papers in international/national peer-reviewed journals and presented his research works in several seminars, conferences and symposia of national and international significance. His research interest includes water-induced disasters, water resource management and green technologies.

Dr. Mandira Shrestha
Advisor
Dr. Mandira Shrestha has over 20 years of research and consulting activities that cover broad areas of climate services, water induced disaster risk reduction and water resources management and associated with ICIMOD. She is leading the transboundary flood risk reduction programmes, promoting dialogue and strengthening hydromet capacity in the Hinda Kush region. She has expertise on transboundary flood forecasting and monitoring, application of satellite based products and end user engagement for reduced flood risks.
