Knowledge Sharing Workshop “Building Resilience through Inclusive and Climate-Adaptive Disaster Risk Reduction in Asia-Pacific (BRDR)”

Knowledge sharing workshop on BRDR was held on 16 October 2022 at Aloft Kathmandu.

Ms. Indu Panta Ghimire, WHDRRP Advisor from WHDRRP shared her presentation on Women leadership in DRR. She focused on involving women and other vulnerable groups in DRRM/CC as they have distinct needs which are often overlooked in planning and programming approaches. 

Ms. Januka Neupane, Province coordinator from Bagmati Province WHDRRP, Ms. Malati Kumari Thakur, Province coordinator from Madhesh Province WHDRRP, and Ms.Nirmala BK, member of Sudurpaschim Province WHDRRP shared their experience on Women leadership in DRR.

Ms. Krishna Karkee from WHDRRP sharing the final remarks and key takeaways of the workshop. She put forward the necessity of inclusive DRR and integrate GE/RBA in all DRR related programs.
