Orientation to the elected women representatives at the local level on effective advocacy for GEDSI responsive
WHDRRP has oriented and engaged the local authorities and locally elected women including men on GEDSI responsive DRRM, CCA, leadership in DRRM, GRB and local preparedness planning in Bagmati, Madhesh and Sudurpaschim Province.
The training contents were developed as per the instruction form WHDRRP. The training consists of 6 sessions focusing particularly on DRR and GEDSI. Participants were asked to express their expectations from the one-day orientation before kick off the main sessions.
The training followed the following processes:
- Participant’s registration and Distribution of reading materials/logistics, Session delivered through power point presentations.
- Group works and discussions.
- Simulation exercise, games and refreshers.
- Commitments from the elected representatives.
